Oh boy...

Well it's been a really long time since I've posted anything...and I thinkg (for my sanity) I'm going to stick to bullet points:

Summer is in full swing at our house...baseball has started, trap has started (and continues to drain my bank account every week with 2 boys now shooting), lawns need to be mowed CONSTANTLY, we are husbandless and fatherless from now until November. (that was the longest run-on sentence EVER)

Someone very special to our family experienced a health scare recently. We wish him the best for what is ahead- When something like this happens it seems to snap me back to reality. I need to count my blessings everyday!

One day last week my horn and my cruise control works....the next day.....nothing! Gotta love it!

Reality is setting in....my "baby" will be starting 4K this summer!!! *tear*

We had our family pictures taken last Saturday....and thank you to Amber Baseman...we have a gazillion awesome photos to choose from.

This year was the year for me to change my life....I started running hardcore in January and have since lost almost 40 pounds! I can run farther and longer than I could in highschool. Thank you to some of my favorite people for the inspiration and encouragement!!! I hope to run a marathon by the time I'm 30!

My flower beds are looking quite amazing if I must say! All that work last year is paying off! I love spring!

I think tonight I'll go to bed at 8....I'm really tired. (you can't tell can you???)

I'm really really really looking forward to seeing my family next weekend....and anticipating an EXCELLENT day on Saturday (so happy for you Kristina and Mike)

This is what Tanner has been doing lately...

We stayed in a cabin at Christmas Mountain for a weekend-it was LOTS of fun...this is what we did with our time there.

Now we are looking forward to leaving on Friday for NEW MEXICO!!! It's been 5 years since we've been down there, so we are WAY past due. We are all looking forward to it for different reasons: Eric-for the hunt with his dad. Tanner-He loves going to Gramma and Grampa's. Mason-He's looking forward to his first airplane ride! Me-well anytime I can be on vacation and not be at home where there is lots to do-I'm happy! :)

And the best part is this-we handed all of our tax stuff to the tax guy yesterday! We can go on vacation and not worry about taxes!!!!!!!!!!!

We are completely BORING people in the winter.
My children are my source of entertainment these days.
Tanner gave me a warm fuzzy feeling yesterday-after he vacuumed the house-I asked him why he did it and he responded, "to earn money to donate to cancer research"....amazing.
We have went through 3 boxes of kleenexes this week.
We are looking forward to our trip to New Mexico in 26 days!!! Watch out Gramma and Grampa "Cacti" we are coming to get you! Oh and daddy and grampa are going hunting-but we don't really care about that.
We (Eric and I) enjoyed making GOALS for 2010 (and beyond) instead of resolutions this year - I will share one with you......our house will be for sale by 2011! EEEEEK!
I have become more thankful for the little things lately...health, home, happiness...to name a few.
We officially have the BEST care-taker for our children. Not that we didn't know that before, but this past year she has came to our rescue so many times...we love you Becky!
For the first time in my life I LOVE my job. It's been over 2 years since I started at Magnum Products and I am hoping for a lifetime of opportunity there.
We have 1000's of matchbox cars, trucks, tractors, etc....they make me crazy...especially when I have to pick them up EVERYDAY!
My vacuum cleaner hates legos.
OOOOH...I got a closet FINALLY! But I realized I have WAY too many clothes to fit in it! Ooops!
I have spider webs and dust bunnys in every room of my house - do you think less of me now?

I got sick of looking at the same old thing when I bring up our blog...so I thought I'd add a couple new things!

My dear old friend (my Grand Prix) had to go.....so this is what I got to replace it.

Tanner bagged this 7 pointer during the youth hunt in October....his first hunt ever! We are all really proud of him!

Eric got this nice buck yesterday, opening day of deer hunting 2009!!!

Yup, it's another one that will go on the wall!!!

This is what we have been doing....Eric put the deck on the front, I did the new landscaping and planting and painted the foundation. It's amazing what it's done to the look of the house! We just need to put shutters on...I'm having a hard time deciding what color shutters and front door would look nice with the roof color and the white trim. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Well since these are completely backwards...............as you can see Mason has learned to ride bike with NO training wheels! It took a matter of about 5 minutes...now he's doing jumps and everything! He's crazy! Just trying to keep up with his big brother!

Let's hope spring is coming soon because we have a professional baseball player on our hands and he needs to be sent to training camp!!!!

The bat and helmet combined weigh as much as him....but he can hit that ball every time!

I can't wait until the warm weather is here to stay...my kids are sooo much happier after they've played outside for a while!

So I'm feeling kind of bored with blogging lately...but here's what we have been up to:

Mason got his $1000 savings bond yesterday. After we signed the papers and so on and the boys get a sucker from the banker lady and we were saying our good byes and thank you's Mason pipes up and says, "Where's my money Momma???" We all got a chuckle out of it....I think we had him all geared up to be getting $1000 and all he got was a piece of paper!!
I have been in a cleaning mode lately....this morning I swept, vaccumed, did dishes, and washed bedding.
I started my 4 day work week this week. It was my first and my last. I will now be back to 5 days a week. It was bittersweet...I really enjoyed my time with Mason...but our finances will appreciate the full week of paycheck!!!
Tanner got his state assessment test results back in the mail......It was pure suprise.....he's really really really advanced in Social Studies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW! I'm not sure where he's getting that from....but he loves history and geography!
I'm loving this warmer weather.....we had windows open for a couple days....and went for walks...played basketball with the boys...rode bikes....got all full of mud....the tulips are coming up....it's great!
Eric and I have decided we are gutting our bathroom and redoing it this summer. After we put a toilet and a shower stall in the basement. We are also putting a deck on the front of the house. We figure that being the economy is making us stay put for a while we might as well turn it into something that we really really like.
Eric is so excited about spring coming....he can't wait to get those mowers running!! I however am not so excited to lose my husband for about 4 months!!! But I do benefit from the paychecks!!! :)
Our desktop computer isn't working....so I can't post pictures until I put them on my laptop.....I'll work on that.....

I better get going.....I was on such a roll this morning I better keep at it!!!

Mason thought uncle Mark's boots were soooo cool!
We got the workbench back out....this is where he spends a LOT of his time.

This was one evening last week. They were watching a hunting dvd together...so sweet!

Mason and Daddy wanted to make a cake....so they did!!!

Nothing much is new here. Eric is anxiously awaiting spring. He has all of his clients back and then some. So it should be another great year with the lawn care and landscaping. I may be going to 4 days a week at work, so I will probably be recruited to help him. If that means I can be outside and enjoying the nice weather...I'm so there!

I'm really curious about this economy these days. I'm glad it hasn't REALLY effected us so far. The company I work for has taken some precautionary actions. They've cut several positions and had some temporary lay offs. But none of which I have been a part of-other than picking up where others have left off. However, this next week I'll find out if I will be going to 4 days a week. But that's not really a big deal...I'm actually hoping it happens. I would love it! Especially with warmer weather right around the corner!!! And I can spend some time with Mason too! Eric's job is crazy busy. They've been on mandatory overtime for quite a while with no end in sight. So we're not too concerned there. We sure do think about those that have lost their jobs or taken pay cuts or lost hours or whatever. It can't be easy right now. We wish you the best!!!

This is my favorite part of the make-over. This is my litte reading corner. I'm dreaming of a really funky floor lamp with a cloth (think drapery) shade that just kind of hangs.

And of course I had to rearrange the living room. And I added the big basket of "stuff" behind the couch!!!

Now that we are all better we celebrated by going to our favorite place to eat...we spent $50 last night at Christiano's!!!!!!!!!!!! However all 4 of us ate until we were stuffed (noone puked) then we brought over half the meal home...we all ate the left overs for lunch and there is still enough for about 2 people to eat another meal! So actually it was a really cheap couple of meals...and it was fabulous food. Eric and Mason got brick oven pizza, Tanner got alfredo (the best I've ever eaten), and I got salmon steak and pesto pasta (soooooooo good) and it all came with about 2 loaves of fresh bread....

Since I've fallen for bullets pretty hard...we'll have another go at it....things I've done today:

2 loads of laundry
folded about 50 loads (ok...maybe only 10 loads, but still....that's a lot)
put all the furniture back now that the carpet is dry (but washed/dusted/cleaned it all first)
rearranged the living room......which is really hard at our house...we don't have tons of room for change!
scrubbed the hardwood floor in the dining room with orange cleaner
scrubbed the tile floor in the kitchen with tile cleaner
cleaned the bathroom
managed to somehow contain my children (who are feeling better so fighting up a storm) to the upstairs while I was doing all of this!

I feel that this day has been productive enough....I just might have to treat myself to a little afternoon shopping!!! :)

As you can see I have no glamorous photos or exciting news...yup, we're boring folks...but that's not always a bad way to be!! :)

My rambling might be boring for some....but it's my way of helping the time pass this morning-thanks to my children for getting me up at the crack of dawn! You know...I can't get them out of bed at 7 during the week, but when the weekend comes they are out of bed fighting before 6! I don't get it!

Anyways....here are some highlights of our week:

*Eric had the stupid pole at Kwik Trip jump out at him again....this time it was the new truck...yipee!
*We had our first tax appointment - this is the first year with the LawnCare Business up and running. Thank goodness for deductions - and I never thought I'd say this....thank goodness Eric bought a new mower this year!!!!!! We're happy with the way it all turned out....our tax guy is great...he helped us out a LOT!
*We had meeting at our house on Wednesday, so we had to clean house.......(I'm still trying to find some stuff that my dear husband "put away")
*Tanner passed his AR goal at school this week....My incentive to him was $1 for every point he was over 100%.....well he's at 108% and reading a 100point book with 2 weeks remaining-which means if he gets a 100% on the test within that 2 week time frame he'll be at 208% of the goal....yeah, you do the math....my kid out-smarted me this time!!!! OUCH!!!
*Friday at the end of the day my boss wanted to talk....he plans on being out of the office quite a bit coming up in Feb. and March...and has asked me to step up and take the Lead while he is out. It was nice to hear-not really a suprise as it's always been the case before, but this time it will be public knowledge. I've been a born leader my entire life-and all of my previous experience in the workplace has been in a management position....I left that to learn a new career...but you can't stop what comes natural! I completely love my job-and I will take the added responsibility as a compliment to what I've already done! Was a nice way to end the work week!
*Eric is working today-that means the rest of us are RELAXING!!!! Looking forward to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight!!! MMMMMMMM!!!

Now this posting isn't as interesting as others, but it was our life this week....

So this is my new toy! We got it for a steal-needed some fixing-but there is one advantage to having a "maintenance man" in the house!!!! It cost nothing to fix!!! I'm tired of spending money to go somewhere to tan-their hours usually aren't convenient for me-their beds aren't usually clean enough for me-blah blah blah! So Eric found this one and went and picked it up! I'm sooooo excited!!!!

One night we went to a family comedy show-it was great. At one point they called all the kids to the stage for a song.
Then they asked you to get up and dance if you were from the South....well this is my mother-in-law....you can't see it here, but my father-in-law is behind her...HIDING from embarasment!!!

One day we went mini-golfing-indoor-black-light. We started youngest to oldest.....guess who got a hole-in-one on the very first hole???????? MASON!!!!

These pictures are in bad order.....this is all the kids with their Build-A-Bear from Gramma and Grampa.

Gramma & Grampa brought John Deere Build-A-Bears for all the kids to make their own bear and dress it up!!! It was a fun activity for them!!

We really enjoyed our week in TN. We traveled with Mark and Lisa. Minus a few upsets we made it there safe and sound and had an awesome week. Lots of memories and TONS of laughs. Doug and Jan joined us for the entire time as well. Mark and Lisa and Doug and Jan shared a similar cabin that was much larger than ours.

Happy Birthday little buddy! This picture is your entire personality rolled into one photo! You love being a boy...you love trucks, hunting, sports, anything that boys are "supposed" to like...you LOVE! Just this morning you were "hunting" with your new gun that you got at Fleet Farm - you were calling it your "Thompson Center"....I didn't even know what you were talking about, but Daddy knew that that was a brand of gun. Amazing. Last night while I was laying in bed trying to sleep, I couldn't help but replay your birth over and over in my head. I was so excited to meet you! I had 2 wishes (well 3, but the first one was that you were a girl, and we already knew that you were a boy-which is TOTALLY great too)...I wanted you to have blonde hair and blue eyes...so you could look like Mommy! And guess what....YOU DID!!! You were absolutely perfect! I feel in love with you the first time I saw you! I can't believe you are already 3 years old! You amaze me everyday. You have been telling people for about 2 months now that your birthday is "Tecembe Thiteenth" and that day is finally here! You are growing up fast...with a little help from your big brother. You really love him...I know you do....but you and him just can't get along. You are as different as night and day. I never thought 2 kids could come from the same blood and be so different. But it's what makes you your own person. I love you just the way you are! I know we'll have another AWESOME year watching you grow some more!

There is nothing really new or exciting around here-I'm going to try and post some pictures-I'm not promising anything-my computer is acting stupid.

This last week:
*My car died.....will be in the shop all week and probably cost me my arm AND my leg-so nevermind my limp!
*The company that I work for let about 40 people go on Thursday. I feel for those that no longer have a job, but I'm thankful to still have mine! Inspires me to work even harder and prove my value to them!
*We hung out with old friends-it's always fun to catch up!
*I filled up both the car and the truck for under $100 TOTAL!!!! It used to cost us $100 just for the truck at one point!!!
*I realized whatever will be-will be. No matter what I think about the economy, the stock market, politics, etc....it's not going to matter.

Last weekend Kerry and Darla and the girls came down for the weekend. The kids had a blast and the adults had some great laughs and much needed catch up conversation! Saturday we took the kids to "Little Farmer" - the apple orchard/pumpkin patch...it has many fun activities for the kids and us adults enjoyed being outside in the awesome weather too! Now this weekend Kerry and Darla have awesome seats at the Packer Game (row 2 was it??) so we're hoping they remember the fun they had at our house!!! :)

I hate vehichle maintenance!!!! Just when you think your budget is under control and things are going smoothly - something is BOUND to jump out and kick you in the hind-end!

My car is being worked on right now...thank goodness I have a hard-working, super smart, ambitious husband who saved us about $400 in labor. But it's still frustrating to just blow money out the window! So of course Eric's mind starts wandering...and he's looking at new SUV's....ah to have yet another HUGE vehicle payment....nope...not doing that again! :)

Oh and remind me next week to NOT take an afternoon nap on Sunday.....it causes me to stay awake ALL NIGHT LONG on Sunday night!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccccckkkkkkkkk...

It's been a while

So I've been slacking on here lately. But we've been so busy! I don't know where to start. Eric's parents were here-we all packed up and went to Menomonie for Thur-Sunday. Now Kevin has been here. So there's been lots of running around, late nights, early mornings, dishes to do, beds to wash, clothes to unpack/wash/repack. It's been crazy!

Last night we went to the Ripon Homecoming Football Game. We ran into Amanda P and Shannon C. So we all sat together and FROZE. Tanner was off playing with his friends the whole time...Mason wouldn't keep his hat on or put his coat on, so we fought with him the entire time with everyone giving us a "glance" that really meant, "why in the world can't you control your child...and why do you have him at a football game when it's 30 degrees and he'll be so sick tomorrow...." And we FROZE.........it was so cold! But Ripon won! It was actually a fun game to watch! But now my throat hurts so bad today I can't even swallow! Lovely!

I really need to get something done today, but I haven't had a "lazy day" in like 2 months....so it's been really hard to get motivated!!! UG! HAPPY WEEKEND!!!!

These pictures don't do it justice, but as you can see, it's coming along-2 sides are completely done and the other 2 are about half way done and then the big dormer protruding out the back of the house (you can't see in the pictures) needs to be done. But we LOVE it...it looks better than we could have imagined! I'm very proud of the work that Eric has put into this!

Now if you can just picture the front door painted dark maroon and the shutters either navy or maroon (I keep chaging my mind) and then the front stoop will be gone and there will be a deck the whole way across the front entry!! Next summer will be the landscaping-that's MY expertise!!! :)

*Take/Post pictures of our house-the siding looks amazing! I can't wait to get the shutters and paint the front door! DONE - this was the easy job!!
*Clean the basement
*Go tanning DONE - aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh
*Go get my hair done (my one splurge every 6 months or so) DONE - aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
*Check on our clothes situation for our convention coming up (I know the boys will need clothes-I'm just putting it off-too tired to shop...I know I know...I'm the shop-a-holic)
*Clean out my refridgerator. DONE - hmmm....the stuff we grow in there!?!?!?
*Finish the laundry
*Vaccum
*Scrub the shower-put up new shower curtain liner
*Make Tanner clean his room.....and really make him do it this time! DONE - it works good when you threaten to take the Nintendo Wii away for an extended period of time!!!!

I think that's enough...it's still early, but I have had a rough week and I'm feeling kind of lazy!!!

Summer is almost over...

Tanner came out of the bathroom this morning and his exact words were, "Could tomorrow maybe never come....." I sense that he is dreading the old routine of school and homework and bus rides....but he had a wonderful summer...one that I'm sure he will never forget. Some of the things he did were:

*Played baseball on the minor league-his last game he caught a line drive (playing short-stop) for a final out, and also hit a double (his farthest hit during a game)-he still talks about that game! He made us proud.

*He went to summer school - he took a digital broadcasting class and made a movie from start to finish...he also played a lead role in the movie...he LOVED it...I think we might have a computer nerd on our hands!!! =)

*He spent several days at the Pedigo's-where he learned lots of new things and caused lots of trouble! =)

*He spent 2 weeks at Grandma M's-Where he spent several days with cousins, aunts, uncles-went to a Twins game, rode bike, swam, played with air-soft guns, he had the time of his life!

*He also turned 9 this summer. He got to go to Scheels and pick out some things....his picks were a #31 GB Packer Jersey, an airsoft rifle (go figure), some targets, and some hunting dvds.

*He went to his first football game at Lambeau Field. He thought it was AWESOME! We went with some really good friends of ours that have 2 boys Tanner's age and they are 3 peas in a pod!

Needless to say he crammed a LOT of great memories into one summer! It's hard for me to believe that my little boy is going to be in 4th grade! I remember when I was in 4th grade...doesn't seem like more than a couple years ago! I had Mr. McGee-he always sucked on cough drops, he was my favorite teacher ever....I was in several plays that year in his class...he was a great teacher....I hope Tanner has as good of a year in 4th grade as I did!

Happy Birthday Tanner! It’s hard for me to believe that it was 9 years ago today that we welcomed you to this world. I don’t know where to start. You have always been your own little man. From the start you had a special bond with Grandma and Grandpa Magsam. You used to wake up really really early and swing in your swing while Grandpa got ready for work (allowing Mommy to get some more sleep.) You and Grandma….there’s no separating you two. I think it was hard for her to let you go when the time came that we moved in with Daddy. Through the years you and I haven’t always seen eye to eye and Daddy thinks we “butt heads” – but you were my first baby…and you will always hold a special place in my heart. Even when you think Mom and Dad are dumb! I remember you starting to walk, you talked a mile a minute, learning to ride bike was a breeze for a kid like you, you had pleanty of boo-boos, you got a BIG boy 4wheeler and got some more boo-boos, the first time you got on that big school bus I think part of my heart got ripped out. It was hard for me when you started school. But it wasn’t long and I could see how much you loved it and how much you enjoyed spending time with the kids too. Then you got a little brother-you are the bestest BIG brother ever! You and your brother fight constantly, but when you are separated you miss each other more than anything! You teach him all the things big brothers are supposed to teach the little brothers-and even the things you aren’t supposed to teach him….those things slip out too. You are such a special kid. You are ultra sensitive and I adore that. Don’t worry, you are strong when you need to be. What can I say-you are the greatest kid. And the last 9 years have went soooo fast and soon we’ll be writing about your next 9 years! Happy Birthday Tanner!

*I pulled a muscle in my chest helping Eric install our kitchen window last night....I'm in major pain.

*We got reminded this last week how fragile a life really is-sure helps you put life into perspective.

*I am sooooo glad I got my baby back yesterday!! Our life just isn't complete without our kids.

*The house next door to us is in the process of being reposessed by the bank. It's been empty for well over a year and the gas man came to lock the meter the other day and said there was a squirl sitting on the counter. How gross is that?! They also had a cat in that house when they lived there and she was sick-she puked and went to the bathroom all over the basement and they never cleaned it up. The bank is getting hosed BAD!

*We went grocery shopping Friday night....so it's actually been FUN cooking meals! Last night we had chicken cabobs....with chicken, green peppers, red peppers, and onions-first soaked in sweet bourbon! Plus we put cabbage, carrots, asparagus, cauliflauer, and pea pods, and baby red potatoes in foil and grilled them too! It was fabulous! For supper we are having marinaded spoon steaks with corn on the cob and cheesy potatoes! MMMMMMMMMMM....

*I enjoy the weekends that Eric works-it gives me a chance to do what I want. Like today-I'm just chilling out...catching up online....reading a magazine....not that I don't LOVE my husband, but when he's home we have a schedule and we stick to it! =) *I love you honey*

Farewell

We bid farewell to our "Harley" this last week! We let her go with mixed emotions, but we know it was the right thing to do. When we got rid of the Harley we bought this boat-naming her "The Harley." Thinking this was more family friendly than a Harley. Well, we used it 3 times this year so far and that was it. And our priorities have shifted. Eric's business is picking up so when it's nice out he needs to dedicate his time to his customers....so one day his dream of being self-employed can come true. Also, we have 2 little boys and 2 awesome dogs that would LOVE to roam free in the country instead of the confines of town. So with the boat money we have purchased the remainder of the windows needed, a new furnace, and all the siding for our house. So our family can be where we belong-in the country.

So, I learned that my children CAN play together and have fun and not fight constantly!!! This is what we found them doing the other night...and both of them were having so much fun!!! We have a similar picture of Tanner buried in the sand when we were in California when he was 4! I'll have to dig it out sometime!
Hope you all have a nice weekend. Ours is busy. Today Eric is working (at a customers' place.) Tomorrow we have meeting and then we are taking Tanner to Packer Family Night with 2 of his friends. Mason is staying at Becky's overnight....that's a first...so we'll see how it goes! Then Tuesday my mom and dad are getting the boys from us. We'll get Mason back probably Saturday, but Tanner...who knows...he likes to stay with Gramma and would stay all summer if we'd let him!

Why not......it's a great way to spend my Saturday Morning!!!

Our Weekend...

We spent the weekend and the Tundra Lodge in Green Bay.

Nothing really new to post. Keeping busy with bookwork for the business along with all the other jobs that find their way to my pile-laundry, dishes, cooking a meal once in a while, grocery shopping, my paycheck job, taxi driver for baseball kids...the list goes on and on. All in all we are having a wonderful summer. Last night we took the boat out for the first time this year....that was a BLAST! Both the boys really enjoy it now! I can't wait for the weekend to get here! 3 days off work is my kind of weekend!!!

So I have been awful about adding any posts! I don't even remember everything we've done in the last month!! Where do I start........

Mason has been potty training....oh what fun....he's doing good, but still has some stubborn-ness in him somedays! Wonder where he gets that from!?!?!?!?!? =P

Tanner started baseball 2 nights a week-you can tell he hasn't played since last summer...but Eric has been working with him and you can already see the improvement!

We are glad school is almost out....hard to believe Tanner will be going into 4th grade though!!

Over Memorial Day weekend we went with some of our friends to their cabin on a lake...I'll post some pictures.

We went to a little icecream shop.....Mason enjoyed his icecream and then had some big smiles for me!
We had to stop and take a picture of the big fishy....Mason couldn't really comprehend how the fish could be soooooooooo big!!!!
Here are my boys fishing......they had fun! Tanner caught lots of rock bass right off the pier!

What a week!

So, this is the reason why I'm able to sit and post ANYTHING on here today! Mason has been sick for over a week...but is doing MUCH better the last couple days. So much better that he's driving me insane! He's eating again, which is giving him ENERGY!!!!!!!!!! I finally got him to lay down, with his "blankey"...my sweatshirt (?!?!!?!??)...and he's OUT! AAAAAaaahhhh......

So Eric turns 26 on Tuesday! He's the kind of guy that you just can't buy anything for! If he wants something-he goes and gets it. Here I thought this year was going to be easy. He's been talking about a "turkey blind"....I'm thinking...ding ding ding...birthday gift!!!! Well, no such luck, he came home from Fleet Farm the other night with his turkey blind...which he set up in the living room-I'll post pictures sometime. So if anyone has any ideas about what to get this guy for his bday....I'm welcoming any and all suggestions! He's a wonderful guy-a great daddy-my best friend...so help me think of something great for his birthday this year!!

So, we have nothing new or exciting really to post this week. We were home today with a sick baby. Mason has been running a fever for about 3 days and is now all congested and coughing. UG.....with all the clouds and rain the last week...I feel BLAH...along with a sick kid. Yuck!

Eric is getting his lawn care business ready for the busy season-thus the showing of the new logo at the top of the post-sorry, it's fuzzy, but it is just from our scanner...didn't have a clear one to upload. He started with commercial property this year. He's got a funeral home, a church, and likely a hospital under contract. Plus his residential lawns that he's always done! So he'll be a busy boy this summer. Tanner likes helping him though, so they'll work together! He's got a new enclosed trailer coming this next week....so he's excited about that! =) I like the busy season because there is a lot to do and we LIVE outside, but I'm nervous this year with the added business......

Tanner is finishing up flag football...then baseball will start for the summer. He LOVES baseball. He pitched last year and had a blast....and to our suprise, he was very good! So he's been practicing....he'd like to pitch again this year! Hard to believe that the school year is almost done! Then our boy will be in 4th grade!!!!

We cleaned our basement and our closets this weekend...in between rocking our sick baby, cleaning up puke, and changing diareah diapers........but we got a LOT done...it's a good feeling....winter clothes are packed away and summer clothes are out.

So, I have promised to keep up with this blog.....and this is the only "new" picture I have for the week. Mason was hiding in the cupboards the other night...and I caught him just peeeeeeking out! =)

So we are officially done with our fishtank. Some of you might have heard our frustrations with keeping it clean. And we couldn't seem to keep the fish alive.....so now we are going to get a turtle tonight! They seem to be low maintenance and "more our speed"....haha! So the kids are looking forward to that!

I've gotten into the spring cleaning mode.....this morning we washed sheets, windows, floors....and we've got the windows open! It's over 60! BEAUITFUL!

I think that's about all I can post today.....don't you just love our boring life!!! I do!

Easter Weekend

So we usually aren't too "into" the holidays....but the kids always enjoy coloring eggs and of course finding their Easter Basket. So I took a couple pictures of our fun. I'm glad I was NOT prepared and only had 7 eggs in the house.....made it quicker and less messy!!!! HAHA!

So at about 4:39am this morning the snowplows decided to plow our street.....that's all fine and dandy...usually. Not this morning. It woke Mason up---with a blood curdling SCREAM---"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM"...........I JUMP out of bed startled, run to the hall, and Mason is running out of his room before I can even get there. He's shaking. I ask him "what's wrong sweetie?" He replies, crying,"BEARS, BEARS make loud noise in my bed." So the poor little boy is now scared of the "bears" in his room and won't step foot in there without mom checking it out first. Needless to say, he slept in bed with mom for the rest of the morning!

1. Maybe I should...get motivated for the day.....nah, its Saturday!
2. I love...the obvious things...but also the dead sillence in our house in the morning when I'm the only one awake!
3. People would say that I'm...easy-going, free-spirited, fun, caring.....I would hope anyways! =)
4. I don't understand...why people sometimes do things just to make others miserable...
5. When I wake up in the morning...I wish it was Saturday!!!! =) Can you tell TODAY is Saturday?!!?
6. I lost...my keys at work one time...and never did find them!
7. Life is....WONDERFUL....I couldn't ask for a better one...now I just need to spend more time appreciating it!
8. My past....is something that, at the time, I probably would have given ANYTHING to change....but now I look back and wouldn't change a thing.
9. I get annoyed when people aren't respectful...or when they take 20 minutes to tell something that should have only taken 5 minutes.
10. Parties are...too much work for me right now! But I love em!
11. I wish...the best for my children....it's scarey raising them in the world today.
12. Dogs are...great...OUTSIDE!!! =)
13. Cats are....ok....again....OUTSIDE....
14. Tomorrow...I will be SURE to get an afternoon nap in!

16. I'm totally terrified...of letting go of my kids....I can't imagine the day they are old enough to move out.

19. High school was...bittersweet...great times and not so great times....glad it's over.

I know it's been a long time...I need to get better at posting stuff...too lazy I guess! So the latest on Mason....he's absolutely adorable....we were riding home from Green Lake on Wednesday night and we had to stop at KMart to get a new coffee maker. But we realized that neither Eric or I had our wallet. So we had to go home first. Mason is at the stage where he asks a million questions. So, of course he's asking "where we going, where we going, where we going"....so my response was, we're going home to get the checkbook then we're going to Kmart. So then he proceeds with, "we're going to get da checkbook, den we're going to KEEMART" over and over....both Eric and I are laughing at this point. Then it's dead silence....."MOOOOM, IT'S NOT FUNNY" Comes out of his 2 year old mouth! So of course we bust out laughing again....and he's serious..."IT'S NOT FUNNY".....by the time we got back to KEEMART he's so upset about it not being funny, but mom and dad are laughing....he is in tears! What a boy!!! And of course Tanner is just along for the ride probably even oblivious to what's going on! My kids are so different from each other....it's fun to watch!

Where did my baby go?

So the cutest thing ever.......we gave all the boys haircuts the other night. If you've seen Mason lately, thank you for not commenting that he looks like a girl. I KNOW he needed a haircut, but I wasn't ready to let go just yet! But I finally did. After the haircuts and baths, I was sitting on the floor a little ways away from Mason. I was "pouting"....and I said, "where did my baby go?! where did my baby go??" I was being very dramatic about the fact that he looked sooooo grown up. He comes running over to me and puts one hand on each side of my face and looks and me and says, "I right here mommy...I right here!!!" *tear* My "baby" is growing up so fast. He will ALWAYS be our baby. Eric has a habbit of calling him "baby"...so Mason calls himself "baby"...oh well. He is trying hard to stay our baby. He loves to be cuddled, he loves to be held, he loves to be rocked, he loves to drag his blankey around everywhere he goes. He's quite a kid. And his big brother is very good about "taking care" of his "baby" brother too! =)

This is now how Mason passes the time-this was his purchase in St. Louis. A loader and a semi. He does this with his daddy in real life so he's getting his practice with some corn and a cake pan on a smaller scale! But he knows just how it's done. SO cute!

We visited the home of "BIGFOOT"....the boys thought that was cool...we celebrated Grampa's birthday-he let Mason sneak some frosting!!! And we ate continually.....the scale agrees with me on that note! And I think Darrell and Mark are STILL suffering from a little contest........we won't go there tho!

So we have been getting A LOT of snow lately...somehow kids never tire of it! I love this picture of Tanner and Mason together. Sometimes it's hard to get a picture with them sitting THIS close together without them hitting, pinching, pulling hair....they love eachother so much, but they are brothers...so they have their moments!

Watch soon for St. Louis pictures! We left on Thursday morning bright and early and came back Sunday night. It was great to see Doug and Jan and spend time with the Killam family!

Boys and Football

We went to WI Dells (The Wilderness) over Christmas. It's amazing how quickly boys get hooked on football-of course it's the Packers at our house! But the boys didn't even want to go down to the waterpark while the game was on...all three of them were glued to the tube!

So to catch everyone up....this is Eric's new baby. You can BARELY see my car in the background...and of course now that he has a brand new truck he refers to MY car as "the beater"...seriously it's still a nice car! OH well...boys will be boys! It's been his dream...he's worked hard for it...he deserves it. Oh and since he's got it (August) I've even got to drive it...like 5 times!!! =)
